Welcome to Cranbrook Lacrosse
Welcome to Cranbrook Lacrosse Club. Set up in 2005 the club has been growing steadily over the past years and now has active women's and junior sections. Next season the women's team will be playing regular fixtures in the Invicta 8 aside league, as well as some friendly fixtures.
The club is based in the heart of the Weald of Kent and is within easy reach of Ashford, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Hastings. You can even make it from Sevenoaks in 30mins. We are delighted to welcome experienced players into the ranks but are just as happy to see new players, of any age, turn up and have a go.
The invicta 8s tournament is the final fling of this year's 8s programme. The end of season tournament will take place this Sunday at Caterham School, on the all weather pitch.
The school's address is Harestone Valley Road , Caterham , CR3 6YA, and you can find both directions and a site plan at the following link:

Summer is here and Senior training is now at Cranbrook Rugby Club on Monday evenings for 7.15pm until light stops play. Please be aware of half term holidays. Junior training is running at Dulwich School on Saturday mornings 09.30 - 11.00. Again we stop for school holidays.
The junior sessions will depend on the weather.
Sunday 8th November: Cranbrook ran out winners in the opening Match of the invicta 8s league on Sunday, 8th November, beating a depleted University of Kent team 22 - 2. Fielding a team that combined experience and youth, the weeks of training at Cranbrook Sports Centre paid off with the squad of 10 putting together a display of fluent lacrosse.
The squad comprised Sarah Underhill, Jane Hayes, Lucy Elwood, Lucy Nelson, Polly Miller, Penny Cunningham, Kate Steel (in Goal), Carol Baxter, Alice Gadd, Olivia Douglas.
England played Australia in a warm up game on 11th June prior to the Women's Lacrosse World Cup in Prague. England won 8 -6. Fortunately, Future Reference was there to cover the event with super long lens, Hi-Def cameras and goal post "hero cams". Trailer is now online, photos are too! DVDs of the entire game plus extra features are available for purchase in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
To see the photographs and to purchase the DVD go to the website http://www.engvsaus.co.uk/

There will be more news about the Invicta 8s league in the future.
Cranbrook Lacrosse Club took part in The Festival of Sport organised by Tonbridge & Malling Council on Sunday 26th May. The general idea was that as many sport clubs as possible turned up to Tonbridge School to give the general public the opportunity to find out a bit more about them and, in some cases, actually take part in a tastser session of some sort.
The team from Cranbrook, Kate & Giles, took the pop sticks and a full size goal and set up on the Founder's astro turf and ran a basic skills and shooting clinic for visitors thoughout the day.
Sunday 7th June saw 5 pop lacrosse teams arrive at Walthamstow Hall School in Sevenoaks for a tournament. Cranbrook arrived with two teams Cranbrook Raiders (in red bibs - see pic left) and Cranbrook Pirates (in blue bibs), and played Stocks Green and two teams from Sevenoaks.
Overall the competition was very close, but with a wonderful mix of surprising results along the way. Isn't lacrosse great. Honours between the two Cranbrook teams were just about even, with the last match of the tournament between the two ending in a 5 all draw.
